If God made people, how was God made?
Now this is the deepest question I think was asked. Besides the bible I took some information from the chapter on Goodness of God in Millard Erickson’s Christian Theology. I encourage you to read it.
Jesus tells us in John 4:24 that God is not matter or physical but spirit. Paul says in Acts 17:24 that God who made everything cannot be destroyed like everything He has made. Exodus 3:13-14 God simple says that He is. He IS God. There is no other explanation from God himself but that He just exists and Job chapters 38 and 39 reinforce it.
Both William Craig and Thomas Aquinas argue that for something to happen there must be a cause. They argued that God existed so ultimately following that logic God was put here somehow yet if God created cause and effect and time and space to help us out then it wasn’t here until he put it here so we do not know who created God and there is no evidence God was created from this argument.
Jeremiah chapter 10 says that people tried to make God but he didn’t speak or move. They made idols and verse 10 says opposed to being made that God just exists as the only God. He is the only true God not made but simply God said by Jesus in John 17:3. 1Thessalonians 1:9 and 1 John 4:20 once again show you that God is real not construction or imagined. Everything around us is artificial or made at one point. God is real. He is what he appears to be. Deep stuff! God just doesn’t act or do good. He is the definition of Good!
What inspired God to write the Bible?
Scholars or people who spend their whole life studying church and bible stuff use the word inspiration to talk about God the Holy Spirit’s influence on people who wrote the Bible. God wants to communicate truth to us as humans so we can have the best relationship with Him since that’s why He created us. That is called revelation. So, due to this revelation word, there is the best reason for the inspiration of God to write the Bible through certain people. God wrote the Bible so we could have a chance to live in paradise with the greatest person ever, God our dad, the son Jesus Christ, and hope and power through the Holy Spirit.
Why did God flood the earth and why did he choose Noah out of all the people in the world at the time?
People were very evil as Gen 6 says due to sin taking over everybody in Genesis 3. It took over their hearts, in the language of Hebrew in the bible means both heart and mind. So a guy named Peter in a book he wrote later in the bible in chapter 3 says that God waited for the flood in hope that more would have a relationship with Him. That is also why he hasn’t ended the world and there are no more chances because he doesn’t want anybody to perish. In fact Noah in the bible is said to be the same as Enoch that God just took to heaven one day but Noah didn’t get this so he could let the human race continue.
Does God have a name other than God?
God has different names. Yahweh, master, the highest Psalm 18:13, the holy one Psalm 71:22, mighty one Ps 50:1, God of god’s and Lord of lords Dt 10:17, light giver Gen 1:16, Father John 5:17, Judge Gen 18:25, redeemer Job 19:25, savior Luke 1:47, strength Ps 22:19, God of seeing Gen 16:13, Righteous One Ps 7:9.
Crazy stuff. What do you need to call him? He’s God our creator and leader (father), savior (Jesus), hope and power (Holy Spirit). When you pray to God you pray to God 3 in one and when you address one you address them all. They did this to show the ultimate love and communication in relationship and there is no other relationship better than the trinity. We talk to and listen and read about God in the Bible and that is his name…God. Take some time and just talk to the God who loves you, is strong, gives light, gives justice, saves and renews, is right, sees everything and meets the highest standard.

What does the bible say about people marrying right after high school?
Lol not much since the idea of primary, junior high and senior high education was created centuries after the Bible but this is a good and important question. It doesn’t say anything about marrying right after high school but does say something about who to marry and knowing it’s who God wants for you. No matter what, you shouldn’t marry someone with different beliefs/relationship with God than you according to 1 Corinthians 7. In fact I would suggest reading that whole chapter with the subject in mind. 1 Peter tells guys to love and honor their wives. Girls, that is the man you want. 1 Peter tells women to obey the Bible and follow what their husbands say so that the husband can see Jesus in you. Guys, there’s a woman you want. I will say that studies have shown that the part of the brain that makes decisions isn’t fully developed until your into your 20’s. If I married who I liked in high school or middle school I would be in trouble right now. Yet there’s others who married the same person they liked since 3rd grade and live happy lives growing old together. If you can take on financial responsibility, receive parental recognition or others in the family, and they desire to put God 1st as you do, start then to think about marriage after high school after you have talked to a counselor, mentor, or pastor.
Do people lie about when the dinosaurs were around?
It seems that people lie because there are different theories. Some say they lived billions of years or millions of years ago. Those that believe the earth is just 1,000’s of years old say they couldn’t fit on the ark or the fossils we find are put there by the devil. One interesting theory for younger earth creationists (those that say creation was done by God more recent than 14,000 years) say that with people whom lived 900 years or so before the flood live less and less until recently also animals like reptiles would live longer. Reptiles already live longer than us and when they live longer they keep growing or get bigger. After 1,000 years a lizard could look like a stegosaurus if this theory was true.
Those that say dinosaurs have been around before humans will say that there was no God but just chance and a circle of life event taking place. Evolutionists or theistic evolutionists (evolution took place but God started it) believe this but I find it takes away from the sovereignty or all powerful, all knowing and all present nature of God. I will just say that the evidence is clear that dinosaurs have lived and we don’t see them anymore and the only answer may come when God answers questions for us after we die when we are in heaven…although its fun to have theories…
Is there a reason that no girls wrote a book of the bible?
A better question is: no girls that do ministry. The bible is important but 3 women were the first to find out Jesus was alive after the cross and they were the first to see him alive again. Esther in the bible saved an entire race of people while a woman worshipped Jesus, worshipped God with everything she had by anointing his feet in Luke 7:36-50 and the other men in the room thought she was stupid and Jesus said only she had God on the top of the pyramid or list that day in that room. It brings a smile to my face to think of all the women in 2,000 years that have done amazing things for God. One thing you could do is write a book in the bible. The New Testament in the bible was written by those who saw Jesus. Some believe Hebrews was written by a disciple of Paul, Priscilla whom was a woman but other than that women did so many awesome things and still are but like Esther not Mordecai saved the Jewish people by talking to the king and standing up to Hamaan, God had men instead of women write the books of the bible. Possibly though not 100% one women did but I encourage each young lady to find their gift or talent and use it for God in worship or doing it for nobody else but God.
Can you still go to heaven if you murder someone but ask God for forgiveness?
I answered this question earlier for the most part. If you ask God for forgiveness he will have justice and do the right thing since God the son, Jesus died so we could live by worshipping Him. But if you do it again I would question your motives. Some people have problems and need help. Most of the time only God can change a heart in this matter but if you keep doing or committing the same sin I would say God doesn’t forgive you just so you can mess up again. He will take you back. The only thing the Bible does say is that there is a point that only God knows where you get so caught up in yourself that you no longer worship or listen to God and He can’t get through to you. God is loving and shows mercy and grace. Grace is just mercy and forgiveness you don’t deserve. God doesn’t tolerate repeated sin forever. If you have relationship and not religion or just doing stuff to get you to heaven you will not murder. The result of a relationship with God is to start acting like God. Romans 12:2 says daily you read your bible and pray and get closer with your relationship with God so he can change your thinking. God will not tell you to do something he told you not to do. Now Jesus added in Matthew 5 that even hating or being angry with someone is like murdering them. Ask for forgiveness and your relationship built from prayer, bible, and talking with a follower of Christ for years will keep you from murder.

Student Q&A part 1
I have been answering some questions with students and I would like to chronicle them. Today's have to do with worship and relationship with God.

How did worship start?
First we need to define worship as it is put in Romans 1:25. Worship is dedicating most of your time, energy, and money and so on to something. In Romans in the Bible it says that people worship either Creation or Creator or God or stuff God has made that can be something else another person or even yourself. If it isn’t God then you are making what the Bible calls an idol and the word idolatry comes in.
So if worship was a list or a tall pyramid with steps “God” should be at the top. We do that by praying (talking and listening) reading the Bible (a way we understand God and he can speak to us) journaling (writing down what you heard when listening or what the Bible “spoke” to you) giving time to service or ministry or helping out or giving money to God.
So to now answer when it started. It started long before Adam and Eve the first two people. Angels were made to be messengers and are required to worship God or they are finished. God gave humanity the choice to worship Him or not. That is why it is so cool when we choose to give time in praying or reading or journaling or singing. This is done alone or with other Christ followers. It is also cool that we choose to do anything that gets us closer to God than to another “idol” whatever it might be in our life. Worship has always happened since creation was created by God in Genesis 1 along with human beings and worship will go on forever and never end in heaven as Revelation 22 at the end of the Bible tells us. By then we will choose to always put God above all things and there will be no more problem with worship but as Luke 9:23 says we make a daily choice to put God on the top of the pyramid or list or lower him worshiping creation before creator and making an idol in our life.
Why do people think it is good to sin?
There is a story in the book of Genesis where a woman was told not to look back at a city that was being destroyed because of centuries of sin nonstop or she would turn to a block of salt. Even after that and knowing God’s power and judgment on Satan and others who choose to always sin, she still looked back and was turned to salt. Crazy story! But it shows like if you come to a bench with a sign that says don’t touch you naturally want to touch it. You touch it to find that it has wet paint and you sat down already and have paint all over your backside. So sin consumes and feels good for a short while. It feels good to sin! So it’s easy to do it and you do it so much you get comfortable with it. Its like me buying milk. One day at age 8 my mom and I were going home and she stopped at the gas station to pick up a gallon of milk she forgot earlier. She went to get her money and leave and then turned handed me money and told me to do it. As a shy person, the last thing I wanted to do was go talk to somebody and especially do something I never had done before but I also knew what would happen if I disobeyed my mom and I went in and got the milk. I was nervous, couldn’t talk strait, and didn’t think I would make it out alive and thought that the next few times but got better and now I can drive myself to Wal-Mart with 100’s of other people inside and buy milk with my eyes closed. (I would just get hit by a car or cart or a wall or something but it’s all good.) What I’m trying to say is when we do something new it is hard but when we do it more it becomes more comfortable and it is hard to see things any other way. It is good to do this in order to become an adult in different areas but when we sin the first time God the Holy Spirit makes us feel sick or think that we shouldn’t do it but as James 1:14 says it grabs us the more we do it and we become comfortable and we enjoy it and to not do it would make us feel awful. It’s like this because Satan a good angel that quit worshipping God and now wants to take the rest of creation for all eternity in punishment with him wants you to keep sinning and think it’s good. Sinning is not good but what we need to do is use the Bible to show those involved and surrounded and consumed and living in sin the right way to forgiveness and making a complete change in thought Romans 12:2 to God the son, Jesus.
And don’t forget Matthew 11:28 that you can come tired and down from sin and Jesus will help you relax and forgive you and help you get over your strong desire to sin though you will deal with the choice to for the rest of your life.
Is it bad if you get saved and then do something you don’t think you should have?
Good question. I will first say if you go to do something and know you shouldn’t do it, do what James Jesus’ brother wrote in the Bible and just resist and get away from the temptation that it is. The issue here is temptation and 1 Corinthians 10:13 tells us God never let us be tempted beyond what we can handle yet even Jesus was tempted. The issue though in Matthew 4 or Luke 3 wasn’t whether he would or wouldn’t be it was the fact he was God yet also a human being and resisted using the Bible. Jesus as an example showed that followers of Him can resist temptation.
Sometimes will still give in and do something we shouldn’t have or “sinned”. Sin was a term used by archers, people who would shoot an arrow on a target like Disney’s robin hood. If you didn’t hit the bull’s eye when you shot it, a guy down by the target would yell “sin!” no matter where you hit it because you didn’t hit the perfect place you needed to be. The bible says in Romans 5:12-19 that we are all sinners because of what Adam and Eve did. It also says in the Bible in Romans 3:23 and the words “the wages of sin is death” that no sin so also no sinner or one who always sins can get into heaven. So now after reading this question you might be freaking out about how I just told you that you are destined to be in darkness alone forever and ever in a place called Hell separated from God because of sin. Let me finish though. Jesus died in the place of every human on this earth and according to Romans 6:23 and 10:9-10, if you believe Jesus did this and make Him Lord (pray and read your Bible and learn from people who have followed Christ longer because the word Lord is master, Jesus is master of our lives) then your sin is forgiven he doesn’t as Hebrews 10:17 says hold it against you anymore.
So now we still need to answer the actual question. You can get cleaned up by God and not be separated by sin but what happens if you give in. John 3, Romans 6:23, Ephesians 2:8 says that God is faithful to forgive you. I might add as Hebrews 3 and 6:4-6 in the Bible shows us that if you keep sinning with the same thing over and over there can come a point where you can loose focus and God can’t get your attention and you choose not to worship Him. A good rule of thumb is if you are worried about it then you’re probably okay.
So now that you have read these questions about worship and God saving us from eternal death, take some time to read one of the gospels, maybe John, talk to God about it, listen write down thoughts from reading and prayer and talk to somebody who has followed Christ for a few years now and just watch at how your journey with Jesus gets more exciting.

This is why studying the bible and prayer and journaling is not required to be saved but maintains that relationship to be saved from eternal punishment. God has allowed Satan to make cults and religions to worship Him instead of God because God wants us to have the choice the whole beauty of our humanity to have him at the top of our priorities or list or pyramid or not at the top.
So how do you not worship the devil? Once again, the relationship the choice to make Jesus Lord or master of your life with the help of prayer and Bible will lead to a changed life and you will worship or put God any day over the devil.

So we had Q & A and didn't even cover close to half the questions for the next couple of weeks I am going to try to answer at least one question a day. These will be the questions we will answer.
